Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation. As of August 2011[update], Firefox is the second most widely used browser, with approximately 30% of worldwide usage share of web browsers. The browser has had particular success in Germany and Poland, where it is the most popular browser with 55% usage and 47% respectively.

Lynx is a text-based web browser for use on cursor-addressable character cell terminals and is very configurable.

The Line Mode Browser (also known as LMB, or just www) is the second web browser ever created. The browser was the first demonstrated to be portable to several different operating systems. Operated from a simple command-line interface, it could be widely used on many computers and computer terminals throughout the Internet. The browser was developed starting in 1990, and then supported by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as an example and test application for the libwww library.

libwww (Library World Wide Web) is a highly-modular client-side web API for Unix and Windows, and is also the name of the reference implementation of this API.

lftp is a command-line file transfer program (FTP client) for UNIX and Unix-like systems. It was written by Alexander Lukyanov, and is made available under the GNU General Public License.

Konqueror is a web browser and file manager that provides file-viewer functionality to a wide variety of things: local files, files on a remote ftp server and files in a disk image. It is designed as a core part of the KDE desktop environment. It is developed by volunteers and can run on most Unix-like operating systems and on Windows systems, too. Konqueror, along with the rest of the components in the KDEBase package, is licensed and distributed under the GNU General Public License version 2.

The IBM 1401, the first member of the IBM 1400 series, was a variable wordlength decimal computer that was announced by IBM on October 5, 1959. It was withdrawn on February 8, 1971.

The IBM 650 (photo) was one of IBM’s early computers, and the world’s first mass-produced (photo) computer. It was announced in 1953, and over 2000 systems were produced between the first shipment in 1954 and its final manufacture in 1962. Support for the 650 and its component units was withdrawn in 1969.

I was reading Knuth's "Selected Papers on Computer Science" and in chapter 13 "The IBM 650: An Appreciation from the Field" he had included a photo of a young himself from 1958 at his first computer.

Internet in a Box (IBox) was one of the first commercially available Internet connection software packages available for sale to the public. Spry, Inc. produced the package, as well as starting up a commercial Internet service provider (ISP) called InterServ.
