Binary Dinosaurs
Welcome to Binary Dinosaurs, the online display of a real collection of nearly 500 computers that begins at the Magnavox Odyssey from 1972, travels through the 'pong wars' of the 1970s, visits the explosion of diversity and excellence that created the home computer market of the early 80's and ends when things started getting boring (for me) in about 2001 with the Apple Mac G4, a machine still in use today.

Digital 60
When Freddie Williams and Tom Kilburn came to Manchester in the late 1940’s to begin work on a problem that had been baffling scientists for years, the ability of a machine with a memory to store information, not even he could have envisaged the ways in which his invention would shape the modern world. It was the world’s first stored-program computer the 'Small Scale Experimental Machine' (SSEM), it ran for the first time on June 21st 1948, and nothing was ever the same again.
2008 sees the 60th anniversary of this amazing achievement and it was designed and built at the University of Manchester.

Rune's PC-Museum
Yes, I'm collecting old computers! The progress in the computer industry is so lightning fast that computers will very quick become museum items. I try to collect some milestones and classical computers. For example the first PC, the first portable, the first true laptop and so on. I want all my computers to be in original shape, unmodified and in working condition. It is also fine if original OS, manuals and software are included.

Computer Collection
For the last few years I have been collecting old computers, calculators, home video games and any other related items. There are a couple of reasons I am doing this. Firstly I started using computers around the same time that many of the machines I have in my collection were being used as mainstream computers, so there is a lot of nostalgia for me here. Secondly, and possibly more importantly, I believe that if we don't do something soon about saving old computers we are going to loose a great historical era were computers were evolving, each one was different, and they even had personality.
