Origin (formerly Advanced Plasma Therapies) was founded in 2010 to become an active participant in the plasma-medicine arena. Plasma medicine is an innovative and emerging field combining plasma physics, life sciences and clinical medicine to use physical plasma for therapeutic applications. It is the subject of advanced study at major academic institutions in the United States, Russia, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, France and Italy.
