James C. Castle

James C. Castle is a technology executive and board director whose career has spanned information systems, financial services, and transaction-processing industries. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Castle Information Technologies, an information-technology and board-of-directors consulting firm that advises companies on large-scale systems strategy and governance.

Earlier in his career, Castle served as chairman and CEO of DST Systems of California (formerly USCS International), where he led major initiatives in billing and customer-care systems for telecommunications and cable providers. Before that, he was chief executive officer of Teradata Corporation, a pioneering vendor of large-scale relational database and data-warehouse systems. These roles placed him at the center of high-performance transaction processing and analytics as those markets were rapidly expanding.

Castle has served on the boards of several public companies, including VeriFone, ADC Telecommunications, and Southwest Water, bringing deep experience in IT governance and complex infrastructure projects. His board and advisory work has typically focused on aligning technology investments with long-term corporate strategy.
