Lisa McVey

Abducted at age seventeen by serial killer Bobby Joe Long, McVey provided police with information that directly led to his capture and went on to build a 30-year career in law enforcement inspired by that experience. Long had sexually assaulted and murdered at least ten women in the Tampa Bay area in 1984, and McVey was his last victim.

A retired Hillsborough County School Resource Deputy from Tampa, Florida, McVey was also a published author and motivational speaker.
