The Mimi idea began with a problem: one sound does not fit all. While today's audio technology has advanced in truly amazing ways, our hearing ability has not. In 2013, we set out to change this. We wanted to make hearing ability smarter and better synced with today's technological advances. We began by releasing our now medically certified (CE) hearing test app to build awareness on hearing health. Then we released Mimi Music, our award-winning, showcase app to demonstrate what personalized sound really feels like. We are now over 1 million downloads and the feedback on our apps remains overwhelmingly positive. But it was never our goal to just build apps. Our mission is to complete the journey to perfect sound, across platforms, devices, playback systems. Today we are the global leader in personalized sound. By replicating the processes of the inner ear, Mimi adjusts to the individual experience, compensating for the imperfections in human hearing and unlocking, at last, audio's full potential. It means you, the listener, can finally hear sound, perhaps for the first time, in all it's detail, frequency, and contrast. To us, it means the future of sound is already here. Mimi was a TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield 2014 finalist in New York City, made it 2nd at the world largest pitch competition at WebSummit 2014 in Dublin and made it 1st in the Music Discovery Category at Midem Competition in Cannes 2016.
