Startup concentrated on video discovery

Toronto based startup concentrated on experimenting with different approaches of discovering and viewing online videos. Online video market is growing very rapidly now - Instagram, Vine, MixBit, … and because of this flood of videos a lot of good content is getting lost in a pile of other videos and needs ways of being discovered. Lodka Labs is experimenting with a few aspects of video content such as: 1) New approaches to playing video - e.g. non-stop playing of videos tailored to the user to be unique, based on a topic of interest. 2) Organizing user-driven collections of short videos from Instagram, MixBit, Vine, basically 'Pinterest meets Instagram video'. 3) Showing what's going on all around the world through short videos recorded by people through phones, e.g. 'Google maps meets Instagram video'. # Our first experimental product is Vidio.io: http://Vidio.io/ - simplifies online video watching by showing a flow of auto-playing videos on chosen topic, one video after another. Vidio.io is meant to be a new approach to online video viewing, connecting you with the videos you want to see and driving more traffic to content creators on youtube! # Another interesting project - Geovid.io: Geovid.io - World map that shows what's going on in the world through short videos made by people from all around the world. E.g. there is a protest going on somewhere in the world, or an earth quake, or a big sports game - people record lots of videos on their phones in such events - our system monitors all major coordinates in the world and shows what's going on in major cities and points of interest.
