StartupMamak is an monthly meetup initiative created by the startup community for the startup community to encourage brainstorming, networking, and spur of the moment ideas during the round-table session. StartupMamak promise to provide a free and open platform for entrepreneurs, budding entrepreneurs, students, young professionals, angels and VCs the opportunity to network, share and pitch about all-things-startups. Being consistent, this event happens on every first Thursday of the month, where organizer will usually invite a guest speaker from the startup scenes to share his/her insights on startups as well as relevant lessons learnt and experience throughout the startup journey. The term “StartupMamak” is actually coined by one of the local tech entrepreneur James Khoo (www.secq.me), who won numerous global awards for his patent-pending mobile personal safety technology. StartupMamak is a value-driven community. Us, the folks at StartupMamak are always committed to create more values for the startup community, and we are running it just like startups. Our aim is to nurture, inspire and uplift human capital quality through “No-BS” roundtable conversations. StartupMamak’s meet up format are always casual, roundtable with non-casual topics, it could possibly be the most sought after “Mamak” session in town!
