S.S. Dannaway Associates, Inc., the Pacific Rim's leading fire protection engineering and building code consulting firm, was founded in 1985 by President, Samuel S. Dannaway, PE, FSFPE. With a staff of fourteen, S.S. Dannaway Associates maintains offices in Hawaii and Guam, and serves clients throughout the Pacific Region including Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Guam, Alaska, and Antarctica. S.S. Dannaway specializes in developing successful code-equivalent strategies, acceptable to code authorities, for the architect or developer. Design work for fire protection systems includes automatic sprinklers, clean agent extinguishing systems, carbon dioxide, foam and dry chemical fire extinguishing systems, fire protection water supplies, fire alarm and detection systems, and smoke control systems.
