Bio/Description
Presently the owner of his own consulting firm, Quality Software Technologies, he assists companies in developing core competencies in software development and new product development processes. He has over 40 years of experience in broad software development, software project management, quality management, and consulting. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering (1962) and he received his Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968. He worked at IBM, Rochester from 1962 until his retirement in 1993, beginning in the Optical Character Recognition group. He then transferred over to the management of software development projects including participation in the System 38 and AS/400 Operating System development management teams. His areas of proficiency include process improvement, the software life cycle, software quality management and concurrent new product development processes. He is a member of the IEEE, ACM, ASQ, TwinSPIN and the Software Engineering Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota, Department of Computer Science and Engineering and is a member of the advisory council. He is a lifetime member of the IT Alumni Society and has been a board member since 1995.
