Hiroshi Yamamoto

IBM Distinguished Engineer who expanded horizontal industry skills in the electronics industry, Yamamoto has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Global Electronics Industry, with responsibilities covering all electronics customers at the global level. During his twenty-five year career, he developed his technical expertise in industry standard based Distributed Transactions and was appointed as a Distinguished Engineer in 2008.

He was appointed as the Global Electronics CTO in 2013. Yamamoto has been a member of ISO / International Electro-technical Commission (ISO/IEC) JTC1 SC38 Distributed Application Platform and Services national bodies. He has also served as a visiting professor of the graduate school Computer Science of Hosei University in Tokyo.
