Audrey Tang

The first transgender person and first non-binary gender official to serve in Taiwan's top executive cabinet, Tang was invited to join the Executive Yuan as a minister without portfolio in August 2016. They served as Taiwan's first Minister of Digital Affairs from August 2022 to May 2024.

A free software programmer as well as a politician, Tang is described as one of the "ten greatest Taiwanese computing personalities." They are a leader of the Haskell and Perl programming language communities and a core member of g0v.

Tang identified as "post-gender" and accepted "whatever pronoun people want to describe me with online."
