Wordwides is a free educational Android app based around the expansion of vocabulary and the consolidation of previously learnt language skills. It is primarily aimed at young children and adolescents between the ages of around 8-18. The app itself is based around ten question quizzes of variable difficulties and separated into three key areas which we feel are key for a fully developed understanding of the English language - synonyms, definitions and spellings. Wordwides aims to help increase literacy skills of children across the country (and perhaps among the general population as well), as well as hopefully fostering a lasting interest in the intricacies of language. To do this, we are aiming to promote the app in both primary and secondary schools across the country, as well as attempting to expand the app to other platforms such as iOS.
