Veacon sensors use iBeacon Licensed Technology that create a small, concentrated area of detection. Within the transmission zone, customised notifications can be sent to iBeacon-enabled apps on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices that support Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Customers can be alerted about special offers, discounts, payments and personalized messages. Developers can integrate Veacon sensors into their mobile apps using an SDK or make use of a portal which offers preset and custom scenarios to be used without the need of any development. An iOS app, part of the suite, allows mobile devices broadcast as Veacon to simulate without the need of purchasing actual sensors.
