Varnish Cache

Varnish Cache is an open source community for web accelerator.

Varnish Cache is a web application accelerator that enables its users to install it in front of any server, which speaks HTTP and configure it to cache the content. It typically speeds up delivery with a factor of 300 to 1000x, depending on its users’ architecture. Varnish Cache is licensed under a two-clause BSD license, also known as the FreeBSD license. Varnish Cache 1.0 was released in 2006. Launched in 2005, it is based in Oslo, Norway.
