We leverage technology to complement traditional in-class training to develop college students as ready-to-work employees and entrepreneurs

Utiva believes that the only way Africa businesses can compete globally is if there is a consistent supply of highly skilled and competent labor and workforce to these businesses. Hence, our work is structured to help undergrads develop the top 8 leading skills that every global employer wants to see in a young graduate. We sit between the fast-growing employers and skilled(Utivans) recent graduates. FOR US: Another Utivan means increased productivity to the Sub-Saharan African economy. We aim to bridge the gap between qualification and employment which has, for so long, been a leading factor in the high unemployment rate of youth all over Sub-Saharan Africa. HOW WE WORK: Utiva combines online learning experiences with traditional classroom training to deliver value to our students(Utivans). By online learning, we mean soft-touch technology, social learning and computational science using web-based and Android-powered tools to deliver knowledge to our clients. We currently work with an average of 800 students per school and have a presence in 20 schools. We are currently working with about 16000 Utivans in schools. We have a 75-80% success rate at pairing our students to internship programs and ensuring they're hired. Since the days of our early setup, about 17% of our students have started their own businesses. We currently improving our Utiva500companies project which is scheduled to help us on-board the leading 500 companies in Sub-Saharan Africa into our programme for skilled labor.
