By December 2012, the total number of TV189 users had been beyond 100 million, and its business had developed from cellphone to cross-screen fields such as PC, PAD, and internet TV. TV189 was founded in Shanghai on March 25, 2011. Its predecessor is China Telecom Video Operation Center, which takes charge of all mobile and online video services of China Telecom Group. On June 2, 2012, TV189 Media Limited Company completed its first private financing and exclusively dealt with all video services of China Telecom.
