The combined strength and expertise of their Trilio team is their greatest asset; they come from a diverse background of storage, database and infrastructure software and hardware management, investment banking, venture capitalism and operations, and have fueled growth and innovation from start-up to mature organizations. Their founders collectively have over 45 years of experience at some of the world’s largest storage vendors. Their backgrounds span research, product management, development through execution and implementation. Their experiences came together to pursue an idea of backup as a service for OpenStack environments – a project called “Raksha.” The goal was to simplify a complex problem. This was the first – and remains the only – backup specification for OpenStack. From the groundwork developed for Raksha, a commercial version (and their flagship product) was born: trilioVault. With many years of development and research invested, this product is now available to both OpenStack and VMware environments. With the addition of other key executives, Trilio now includes seasoned senior leadership with expertise in operations, strategy and business management. Together, the team has positioned the Company to meet the needs of an ever-changing, growing, complex, and scalable database environment, where flexible and intelligent backup and recovery solutions are no longer a “nice to have” – they are critical.
