Development of surgical instruments

Topos Medical Limited was set up in early 2010, to develop a range of surgical instruments, for both minimally invasive and general surgical applications. The founders are Michael Tolan, cardiothoracic surgeon; Professor David Keane, cardiologist; Christopher Lang, engineering, design, and manufacturing; and Derek Bridges, approvals specialist. They are developing solutions for instrument manipulation, which provide the surgeon with enhanced articulation, thus facilitating complex and previously difficult procedures. We are currently finalizing product design and manufacturing systems for the first of these instruments.
