The platform offers a client-server architecture where client and server software thus making server products runs as dedicated servers, rather than peer-to-peer. The TeamSpeak server software is capable of running clients simultaneously, which results in an internet-based teleconferencing solution that works for a repertory of different applications. TeamSpeak was launched by Kevin Ludwig, Grayson Babington, Rico Huber, and Peter Strempel in October 2001.
