Supergiant Games is a game development company that develops downloadable video games and sells t-shirts, art prints, ringtones, CDs, USB flash drives, soundtracks, and other products related to those games. Bastion, the first game developed by Supergiant Games, is an action role-playing game set in an imaginative world, in which players must create and fight for a civilization’s last refuge as a mysterious narrator marks their moves. Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites the players to wield a weapon of an unknown origin as they fight through a futuristic city. Bastion was chosen as the “Best Debut” and “Best Downloadable Game” at Game Developer Choice Awards; “Downloadable Title of the Year” by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences; “Best Downloadable Game”, “Best Original Score”, and “Best Song” at Spike Video Game Awards; “Best Downloadable Game”, “Best Indie Game”, and “Best Original Score” at Inside Gaming Awards; and “Game of the Year” by Paste Magazine. It was also a finalist for Excellence in Visual Art and Excellence in Audio in the 2011 Independent Games Festival.
