IP licensing for embedded graphics engine

Generally, electronics are equipped with GUIs (graphic user interface) and functions for displaying relevant information. Recently, improvements in production cost for high resolution LCD panels, along with developments in graphics hardware and software have been observed. Therefore, constructing high speed, high quality 2D/3D graphics that utilize these advancements to its full potential has become a necessary criterion in distinguishing products. This observed trend applies to a scope beyond just smart phones and other information appliances. For product categories such as digital cameras, audio-visual equipment, all-in-one printers, televisions and home appliances, the current graphics consisting of simple icons, letters and cursors are insufficient in expressing complex operations and commands. Therefore, it is important to introduce a graphics system to these mentioned products which utilizes an intuitive GUI with rich, multimedia content.
