Stonelizard began as a sportswear line sold in a number of specialty stores. In 2001, however, students from Saint-Stanislas secondary school approached us with the idea of creating a collection of school uniforms because they liked our style. Taking up the challenge to dress 400 students for school that year, there was no doubt in our minds that, ten years later, 47 schools would trust us with designing their collections and that close to 50,000 students would be donning our clothes to go to school every day. Giving students and their parents a say in our business was paramount to its healthy growth. Our focus groups, in which parents and students from various schools have been involved for many years, are a source of constant innovation. The discussions always drive us to stay on top of possible fabric combinations, new production techniques and styles that might find their way into a Stonelizard school uniform collection. After testing multiple operations and logistics options, we have achieved efficiency in our management structure that is passed on to the parents and schools in the form of our competitive prices and the wide range of services we provide. Over the years, our innovations have earned our collections recognition among students for their style and have given parents and school administrators peace of mind.
