Stocklamp is a real-time financial search engine that helps anyone quickly find relevant financial information and market sentiment about sector, stocks or commodities. Stocklamp indexes financial news in real-time. You can search through articles from a variety of media sources. News is available the minute it hits the internet. Stocklamp analyses the financial news for you. Stocklamp looks at the indexed articles and guestimates whether the news is likely to be positive or negative. It also indexes keywords (e.g. stocks, commodities, sectors) which are used to create a graphical representation of 'market sentiment'. Stocklamp enables you to sort through all the indexed financial news. The flexiblity of Stocklamp allows you to tailor it to your needs. For example; it is possible to find positive news from the last year; written in the Guardian news paper; which has some reference to 'Gold'. Stocklamp can return the results in an instant. An example user case: An individual is looking for news related to 'Lloyds TSB' shares. Stocklamp SERP shows in real-time the financial news reports that contain the keyword 'Lloyds TSB'. The results of the search are indexed by date and relevance. Each result is accompanied by data that suggests whether the news article is likely to be positive or negative with respect to the keyword. The user can then either view returned articles individually, or analyse the results collectively.
