St. Killian Candle Co. has developed an innovative, patented votive candle burning system for churches. It addresses all key issues churches have regarding the burning of candles and is unique in being smokeless, safe and eco-friendly. Distribution agreements are in place in US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Benelux and Slovenia. Sales growth is achieved through strategic partnering with key distributors in each market. Safety features include candles that are designed to burn in the centre of the glass holder and do not fall to the side. Candles will burn for up to two hours, before slipping through a hole in the bottom of the holder into a collecting tray of water, putting themselves out in the process. The system uses high quality, nontoxic, smokeless wax. The current global best smokeless rate is .040. The St. Killian’s system is even less than this at .019. Unlike conventional candles, the wick also has no lead in it, so air pollution issues are mitigated.
