In late 2013, they saw a demand for international brands to enter China but they didn’t have the time or funds to implement large ecommerce operations. They wondered why retailers would invest in expensive, stand-alone technologies, when they could simply tap into their existing store infrastructure in order to launch omni-channel commerce, more rapidly and with faster returns. So they decided to build cloud-based software that would help them do it, quickly and affordably.
