It also provides custom-built unmanned solutions with integration services. The company offers solutions for piloted aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and surface vehicles. Its systems are used in various applications, such as homeland security, coastal surveillance, counter terrorism, drug interdiction, national disasters, humanitarian relief, border patrols, and aerial mapping. The company was formerly known as Proxy Aviation Systems, Inc. and changed its name to Proxy Technologies Inc. in September 2012. The company was founded in 2003 and is based in Reston, Virginia. It maintains an operations center facility for research and development, as well as a test and integration facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
