Pinme.ru is an online social service that features a coming together of ideas, which are created and arranged in thematic categories by registered users. The website platform acts as an online pinboard where users can attach anything that catches their eye. The pinboard takes the form of a series of lists on different interesting topics, created by users adding their own imaging and content, which they can then share with friends and comment upon. Every image is linked to the original source; therefore, the reverse traffic flow is likely to increase. Pinme.ru plans to have 1 mln registered users by August 2012. Now about 7-8K users join Pinme.ru every day. For the moment users “pin” about 1.5 mln pictures monthly, and by August 2012 Pinme.ru team forecasts not less 5 mln pins. A highly skilled team of internet developers, chaired by CEO Sasha Danilov, have been working on the Pinme.ru project. Sasha has launched a number of successful internet start-up businesses and built the sales department of a leading Russian social network service Odnoklassniki.ru from scratch. The initial funding of the company was made by Fast Lane Ventures.
