The group, established in 1965, manages a portfolio of retail chains focused on the value market and selling predominantly clothing, footwear and textiles. Its main operating subsidiaries are Pep and Ackermans in South Africa, Best & Less in Australia and Pepco in Poland. The group trades from more than 3 800 stores and employs close to 32 000 people.
