The firm was founded in early 2008 with the specific purpose of advising the Pensato Europa Fund, a Cayman domiciled, European equity long/short strategy. In October 2010, Pensato Capital launched a UCITS compliant version of the strategy, the Pensato Europa Absolute Return Fund. In January 2015, Pensato Capital launched a new long only strategy via the Pensato European Equity Fund, a Cayman domiciled fund. The long-only fund's investment strategy broadly follows that of the long book of the existing long/short strategy.
