The first major international peacetech program powered by cloud innovation & dedicated to scaling startups globally.
The PeaceTech Accelerator is an eight-week program (three annually) providing intensive mentorship and training with particular emphasis on cloud technology. Startups apply through the F6S portal and are evaluated on their application to peacebuilding (see Issue Areas below), as well as their organizational model and maturity. Applications are open to both for-profit and non-profit startups from around the world. For-profit: Must be incorporated and have successfully completed a seed funding round and/or have $50,000 in revenue (this can include boot-strapping). Product/service solutions must be able to scale on the cloud. Non-profit: Must be a registered 501(c)(3) or equivalent with more than $50,000 in revenue. Once selected, Accelerator participants receive: Up to $50,000 Amazon Web Services cloud credits $15,000 funding in return for equity for eligible companies, at their election The opportunity to pitch to potential investors Free office space for the duration of the program Entry into our participant alumni network Access to our international network of mentors and business leaders Issue Areas: In conversations with leading conflict experts, senior policymakers, and potential private-sector innovation partners, six themes emerged as key areas of interest for the PeaceTech Accelerator: 1. Integrity, accountability and governance. 2. Countering violent extremism 3. Resource scarcity 4. Cybersecurity for peacekeeping and peace focused NFPs 5. Veteran rehabilitation and DDR in post conflict countries. 6. Refugee protection
