Its website serves as a networking site for those who support P2P processes for many systems within the current socio-economic and cultural-political order. The organizations product, Choke Point Project, aims to map their entire internet. P2P Foundation exists to address different movements in the P2O domain: bringing information together; striving integrative insights coming from  many subfields; connecting people and mutually informing them; organizing events for reflection and action; and educating people about critical and creative tools for tool-making. P2P Foundation was founded by Michel Bauwens in 2006 and is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
