Open Source Election Technology Institute (previously OSET Foundation) is a public benefit corporation that conducts research and development in election technology innovation using open-source principles. It is guided by its flagship effort, the TrustTheVote Project, with a mission to reinvent voting technology using open data, open standards, and open source in order to increase confidence in American elections and help preserve our democracy. OSET Institute was founded by Gregory Miller and John Sebes in November 2006 and is based in Palo Alto, California.
