Preventing Brain-Damage in Contact Sports

Athletes in contact sports often develop a brain disease called CTE which causes sympthoms like Alzheimer, Dementia or Parkinsons Disease. We believe that there should be more awareness on the one hand and more protection and measurement on the other hand. That’s why we develop gear to protect the head and to measure impact. We start with a skull cap that reduces and measures the impact on your head. Through the data we can tell a third person (e.g. a coach) to take a player out, if he got too much damage to the head. In the long-term the data we collect can be used for further research on the disease itself – that’s why we want to partner with medical institutes and neruological research centers.
