Many of our lives would be empty without The Doctor, who has used his sonic screwdriver to say all the things we want to hear and took us in his tardis to show us all the sights we've ever wanted to see. The Doctor comes in like a hallucinatory episode during a fever dream, and just when we're fairly certain we're not dreaming he disappears again, unseen until the next season in the history of mankind when his help is needed.
