MUUSE was built on the pillars of the legendary, late 1700s Scandinavian cooperative movement. This Nordic collective stood for socio-political change and working together to get stronger results. The two UUs in MUUSE symbolize this movement: there is more than one 'you' designing each MUUSE collection. Like most fashion brands, we scout skill and fresh, inventive talent graduating from the world’s best schools. The difference is that at MUUSE we invite new talent to join a cooperative where we manage the production and the designers are individually credited for their work under the MUUSE brand name. t MUUSE, we mentor, rotating our crop of new talent seasonally to develop collections designed by a true collective. Our designers are not only named on the MUUSE label for the pieces they design, they also earn an income doing what they have passionately trained for years to do. Accompanying designers through the industrial process, we turn the next-generation's ideas into something unique. MUUSE has turned the traditional fashion design studio into a truly pedagogic and innovative business. At MUUSE, we cultivate fashion, give talented designers real-world experience and launch careers.
