It provides the organizational element that enables charitable giving across wireless carrier platforms; develops, manages, and keep standards for participation; certifies non-profit participation and giving campaigns; manages assigned short codes to be utilized by charities for mobile giving; acts as billing settlement and records clearinghouse between carriers and participating charities; conducts research on the demographics of mobile giving and optimizing mobile giving campaigns; and increases awareness among the general public about the “Mobile Philanthropic Channel.” Mobile Giving Foundation was founded by Jill Manis in 2007 and is based in Bellevue, Washington.
