Think Netflix meets LinkedIn, but for Indie filmmakers - a platform pushing the boundaries of social media and the delivery of content to audiences. The target demographic is Independent filmmakers, film students, and film enthusiasts. With MINDPLATE.tv independent filmmakers can upload videos. Fans can view films, donate to shorts, rent features, and follow their favorite filmmakers. MINDPLATE.tv fosters a collective of filmmakers and fans, and develops this community in two ways. First, MINDPLATE.tv hosts an online, user-based community, and leverages social media websites. Second, MINDPLATE.tv is touring the country to visit film schools, Comic-Cons, horror conventions, and local film communities, specifically targeting the demographic, and personalizing the online experience.
