Metacast is a Tokyo-based web company.

Metacast is a Tokyo-based Internet company that currently offers a total of four online video- and TV-related web services. [Tagiri](http://tagiri.jp/), [Saguri](http://saguri.jp/), [Terebi Burogu](http://www.tvblog.jp/) and its flagship product [Mitter](http://mitter.jp/). The company's goal is to centralize consumer-generated metadata, which Metacast defines as 'any kind of information based on activity and experience'. Metacast's newest product is Jingoo, a Firefox or Internet Explorer add on that serves as an application window on the right of your browser. In this so-called 'Jingoo Zone', users can play games, shop, view tweets etc. Jingoo is currently Japanese only (November 2009).
