Mera Gao Power builds and operates village-based solar micro grids to provide electricity to off-grid households in Uttar Pradesh, India. MGP’s lighting facilities generate electricity through centrally-located solar panels and distribute it across the village to power LED lights and mobile phone chargers in customers’ households. These facilities offer MGP’s customers both a lower priced and higher quality lighting alternative to kerosene.
