Membo is a location-based discovery app that connects people within a 7 mile radius to surface and share the best events, places and activities in the area. Different topics are published by Membo to the ‘Pulse’ section regularly, ranging in subject from “Best Spots to Take a Tinder Date” to 'Trends That Need To Die ASAP,” to encourage collaboration and discussion with local flavor. Users gain upvotes for their contributions, helping them earn status within Membo as a Tastemaker and a place on the Leaderboard. Tastemakers compete for top spot by posting only the best of the best, leaving the community with exciting, locally curated insights. Outside of the Pulse section, people further connect with one another in ‘Shout,’ a free-form chat environment, and get exclusive offers and deals in ‘Spots’ - a feed of nearby businesses and points of interest powered by Foursquare. Merchants are able to post offers to Membo for free.
