Originally established in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1996, Medfusion began providing medical website development and support to healthcare clients such as hospitals, physician groups, and insurance companies. In working with healthcare entities, Medfusion developed healthcare-specific functionality such as physician directories, eligibility software, and interactive survey-taking applications.
