The company was founded in 2001 by former employees of Wapit Ltd, a mobile software company in Helsinki. In its first 2 years, Max Rumpus launched its first software product, Yes!Message, and grew a successful consultancy business around software productization services for both mobile and PC based technologies. The first Maxdox products were launched in August of 2003. Today the company has centered its business on providing Maxdox Mobile Publisher.
