MAVERICK also provides industrial and technical staffing services, placing on-site automation, instrumentation and controls engineers. The company often functions as a a main automation contractor, they provide a full range of automation and controls services including PID controller tuning and HMI programming. MAVERICK serves many industries including Oil & Gas, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Manufacturing and Life Sciences. Founded by Paul Galeski in 1999 MAVERICK traces its roots to MAGNUM Technologies, which Galeski founded in 1989. General Electric purchased MAGNUM 1997. Six years later, Galeski bought MAGNUM back along with other constituents of the General Electric Automation Services (GEAS) group: TEAM Controls, Instrument Control Services and C.F. Picou Associates.
