Company Description

MakeSchool is building a replacement for the computer science degree.

MakeSchool is building a replacement for the computer science degree. This summer we taught 120 high school and college students how to build iOS apps across SF, Palo Alto and NYC. We're piloting a 1 year college supplement where students learn mobile and web development, computer science theory, and development focused career skills. The year culminates with an internship at a tech startup. Our curriculum is used to teach courses at 3 of the top 4 universities for computer engineering. Over 500 students have taken our in-person courses and over a million students have used our online tutorials. We were founded in 2012 and are funded by Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz, Alexis Ohanian, Tim Draper and more.
