MainTool builds smart straps that can be fitted to any regular wristwatch without compromising design, brand, and sentimental value.

WHO WE ARE Our management team has had experience working in multiple nations (4 continents) across multiple industries (consumer electronics, IT, telecom, medical devices) and include some of the best in the fields of hardware engineering, embedded software and industrial design (e.g. Withings, Karotz, Nespresso...) Our 15-person (10 full-time) team works out of two offices in Paris, France and Madrid, Spain with the same visions: making any watch 'smart' and being technologically responsible. WHY WE'RE DOING THIS We're not building the next smartwatch. Why reinvent the wheel? We want any watch to be 'smart'. The Swiss watch industry saw its biggest decline in sales last year (2015) than in the previous six years and there were more smartwatches sold in Q4 2015 (8.1M) then Swiss watches combined (7.9M)! We don't believe that smartwatches should replace all traditional timepieces, so we're is here to reverse that trend, and revolutionize the watch industry more than it has been since the Quartz crisis.
