Main Street Resources (“MSR”) was founded in 1998 as a niche private equity firm.

Main Street Resources (“MSR”) was founded in 1998 as a niche private equity firm making acquisitions of and growth capital investments in basic growing smaller New England companies. The firm deployed two funds, including one SBIC, totaling roughly $100mm, while investing in over 20 companies and executing over 75 transactions for over 100 investors. They focused deeply with a regional value-add “in-service” approach to Their management and operating partners, and created over 2,000 jobs in the companies They backed. Over the last five years the firm has elected to put its experience and resources to work in the social impact space, and has evolved into a platform for impact investment and non-profit entrepreneurship, still focused on smaller New England companies, organizations and communities.
