Mail in a Box is an open source software bundle that makes it easy to turn its users’ Ubuntu server into a full-stack email solution for multiple domains. It turns a cloud computer into a working mail server. It is designed to handle SMTP, IMAP/POP, spam filtering, webmail, and even DNS as part of its all-in-one solution. Mail in a Box also includes contacts and calendar synchronization. It was launched in 2013 by Joshua Tauberer, who has been running his own mail server for 15 years.
