Lyft is a fast growing ridesharing company in the U.S. and is available to 95 percent of the US population. The company designs, markets, and operates a mobile application that matches drivers with passengers who request rides, and also allows payment through the app. It also allows riders to schedule rides up to seven days in advance. Its services is primarily focused on college, university, and corporate communities. Lyft was founded in June 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer.
