Lumex Instruments. R&D and Production Company was founded in October 1991 as a joint-stock company with limited liability by a team of research staff members of the world-famous Vavilov State Optical Institute and the Positron Corporation. Presently, the Lumex key personnel are scientists, engineers, and designers who came from St. Petersburg State University, Technological Institute, State Institute of Applied Chemistry, and from other leading R&D institutions of Russian Academy of Sciences and industrial companies. To date, there are about 400 research, production and administration staff members on the Lumex payroll.
